some may think that valentine's day is only for couples. unfortunately, not for the neoh's.

this year was slightly different from other previous year as i've decided to get dad, mum and jaclyn some gifts.

initially, i've wanted to get mum a bouquet of roses and a bottle of wine for dad. but siao! valentine's day is the only time whereby florist can suck your blood dry and a bouquet of roses can easily cost you more than rm300. and i'm not that generous enough to "donate" rm300 to the florist YET. i do myself better la!

having flipped through many books and browsing through the net, i'm all set to wrap my very own bouquet of ferrero rocher's for both dad and mum. lols. the entire proses was TOUGH, especially coming from a person who doesn't have any passion for craft. i got some help from jaclyn but seriously, she's a no-helper afterall. worst, she nearly sliped out our tiny secret. *faints. more like a real nuisance than a real helper.

having to know each other since diaper days, the 27th and 28th finally celebrated their birthdays together for the FIRST time in redbox.

i admit, it's quite a privilege to have all the uncles and aunties to sing us a birthday song. i had my birthday song at 11.45pm while julia had hers at 12.00am.

unfortunately, we both weren't the main highlight of the night. all attention was focussed on uncle cheran's f-e-e-l-i-n-g-s. it was damm funny wei. too bad i can't upload the video here. too big. 369mb wei.

grandma's 86th birthday

grandma turned 86 years old yesterday, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
every year, grandma wished that each and every of her family members will stay healthy and happy. this year however, she had a very different wish. she wants to be a great grandmother.

attentions were immediately focused on all her grandchildren especially those above 25 years old. *phew.

the month of july ended with...

a trip all the way to klang to surprise siao pei on her 21st birthday! what a brilliant idea, right?

a month ago, while busy revising for one of my midterms, the idea of throwing siao pei a surprise party suddenly strucked me. and you know how crazy i can get when i got strucked, right? immediately, i messaged winson (siao pei's bf) in friendster asking for his help. if you asked, i may tell you frankly that it sounds crazy and weird messaging someone whom you don't know at all. but...what i care? anything goes for siao pei.

after a few text-ing here and there, we both came up with a brilliant plan to surprise pei. so here's the plan. his going to bring her to one of this cafe near their place and get her blind folded. then, we'll all ran in and stand in front of her and the minute she open her eyes...BOO! fantastic, no?

so after weeks of planning, 31st july, the day i've been waiting for has finally arrived.

00:00 am

as usual, wee sin and i called pei up on midnight to have her birthday countdown. it's been like a tradition for us to have a countdown through phone since we're so far away from each other.

11.30am

ween was waiting for me at the guard house with pei's birthday cupcakes.

OMG! nice, right?

4.30pm

started our journey from cheras to klang. it freaking took us one and a half hour to arrive. *faints. we got lost somewhere around in klang and i've lost count on the number of times we had to stopped by the petrol stations asking for direction.

6.00pm

finally arrived. for the first time, i met winson and he brought us to his house where all of pei's classmates and us gathered around. he then went over to pei's place to bring her out to the cafe and we're supposed to wait for his miss call. it took him 45 minutes to bring pei over.

6.45pm (time to get the party started)

we gathered outside the cafe. after making sure everyone arrived, we marched in two by two, just like those tadika kids. as soon as i saw pei, i couldn't contain my excitement and immediately i boo-ed out of nowhere. she was more than stunt to see us there and i think, it took her about 3 - 4 seconds to collect herself. the best part was, we both ran to hugged each other tightly. lols. funny as it may sound, but our actions are like those..you know...bollywood actors and actresses...the scence where they singing and suddenly saw each other and ran to hug each other? that's precisely what we did that night. lols. can't blame me. it's been more than 6 months since i last saw her. :P

i like planning for surprises and it didn't take me a long time to come up with plan for nina's birthday party. since she'll be flying off to singapore and there's no guarantee that i get to celebrate her birthday again with her next year, i've decided to make this year's birthday a memorable one.

and so...the day started with us girls having our one last round of shopping at queensbay first. not much damage done since all tops are not really to our liking. plus, we only had 4 hours to shop since we need to dressed up for the dinner. *sigh. i'm so going to miss this always-stimulated shopping partner of mine.

we had it secretly planned out with randy days ago. his duty was to bring her over to greenbox balakong and leave the rest of it to us. but because malaysians are always late, we postponed the plan from 7.30pm to 8.30pm and then back to 8.00pm. poor randy had to tolerate with her cuckoo-ness for more than an hour. *our bad.
