what's with me and surprises?

i was limping up the stairs when someone rang my doorbell. i limped down again and peeped from my side window. as i don't have my contact lens on, i only saw a blurish image of a girl with short hair standing outside.

i then turned to mum and said "eh, it's your friend. go open the door."

mum went out and within a few seconds, she came in and said "the girl outside isn't my friend. she's looking for you".

*scratching my head but i don't have any friends with short hairs in penang. i stood at my front door and stared hard at the girl. it's yih phing but this is so impossible. she doesn't know where i live!

i had my back behind yih phing as i was slipping my slippers and suddenly, mum exclaim wah!!! so many of your friends is here to visit you. *shocked, i turned around but i only saw yih phing alone. how come mum said SO MANY FRIENDS? weird. something is definitely wrong somewhere.

slowly, i limped towards the gate and out there stood hsin wei, xue ying, yin yin and jek.

"SURPRISE!!!!'

'what are you guys doing here!!!???'

these precious friends of mine (poor verone who couldn't make it) came all the way from kl, holding on to a chocolate cheese cake from jenny's...to celebrate my birthday with me. this surprise birthday was planned months back. boy am i touched!

seeing them outside my house what more celebrating an early birthday with me was the last thing on my mind. thank you sooooooo much and NO WORDS IN THE DICTONARY CAN DESCRIBE HOW HAPPY AM I TO SEE YOU ALL!
