"she sent out 6 armies to the battlefield but none returned with glory"
right after my presentation, i heaved a sigh of relief. i can feel my heartbeat stabilized. deep down, i'm sort of disappointed that i didn't do that well for it, especially the q&a session. of all questions, they have to asked me to defined heavy drinker in my survey. hell, i wasn't prepared at all for that question. smartly, i replied "a person who drinks 6 or more bottles of alcohol in a day, counted on weekly basis." yeah right, smart ass me. *smacks forehead.
i was the first one to present (at 8am) and there were like only 3 lecturers around, so less questions asked. unlike my other unfortunate mates who presented later, they were horribly bombarded with questions, one after another, which was pretty scary and freaky. despite the scariness, i slightly learnt to overcome my fear, my shiver and to stand firm and steady when being scared by these lecturers. i take it as an experience to help prepare me for my next viva presentation, which will be held somewhere around next feb and also to give me a clearer picture of how working life might be in future. who knows i might come across nasty employers or seniors who bombard me with questions like how other lecturers did.
important lesson learnt. never ever underestimate your enemies. don't think that those lecturers who jokes and go cuckoo with you when they see you around in campus are actually nice people. they can be pretty nasty during q&a sessions.
